KITCHEN PLANS

Whatever the size or shape of your kitchen there are a few basic rules to follow when it comes to planning the layout. The most important thing to keep in mind are the work area that you are constantly moving between. These include: the food storage areas (fridge, freezer, cupboards), the oven and hob or cooker and the sink/dishwasher. Whatever the shape of your kitchen, ensure that you don't have to move around too much between these areas. Ideally, the total distance should be between 4 and 7 meters. Avoid positioning your work areas where there is heavy flow of traffic such as near a door or entrance. Whatever the shape and size of your kitchen there are several basic layouts to choose from and advice to assist you.
